You can shorten your nose or make it thinner, reduce a double chin, shorten a long chin and so on. All these effects can be obtained by “juggling” “the lights and shadows” that compose the contours. The basic rule is that a light shade will accentuate the place it is applied on while a darker shade will make it less visible. For this purpose there is special makeup, but we can also use powder or correction materials, provided they are of the right shades. The most frequently worked upon area is the nose. You will not believe that you can have a new nose without the help of surgery. For instance, if the nose is too thick, you can make it look thinner in the following way: apply the lighter foundation as a vertical line on the middle of the nose, then apply the darker shade on the sides. The lines between the two shades must be very well blended so they won’t be noticed. If you want a shorter nose, then the tip must be dotted with the darker shade. Practically, you can redesign your entire face using the contours. Do you have too wide or too small jaws? Use the contours to reshape them as you want. Do you want more definition to your cheeks? Don’t make the mistake of making them more obvious with the help of blushers, because it is again the contour that will make them have the ideal line. It’s all about exercise.
